Terms of Use & End-User License Agreement

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Jet Island Mods (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. The Service is a fan-run community hub for sharing mods for the game Jet Island; it is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the game's developer.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
You may sign in with email/password or via Discord, Steam or GitHub. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Your content & uploads

You retain ownership of the mods and content you upload ("Your Content").
You grant the Service a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, scan, display and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating the Service.
You warrant that you have the rights to upload and license Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
You must not upload malware, viruses, or code intended to harm users, their systems, or their data.

4. Scanning is not a safety guarantee

Every upload is scanned (antivirus + static analysis) before publishing, and risky uploads are held for human review. However, no scan can prove a program is safe — detecting malware is fundamentally undecidable. Mods are third-party code that runs in your game with full privileges. You install and run mods at your own risk.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to: break the law; harass others; upload illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content; attempt to bypass the scanning/moderation; scrape or overload the Service; or misrepresent authorship.

6. Moderation & removal

We may review, hide, reject, or remove any content or account at our discretion, including for security, legal, or policy reasons. We aim to give a reason where practical, but we are not obligated to host any content.

7. Intellectual property & takedowns

If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us (see §10) with enough detail to identify the content and your claim, and we'll review and act where appropriate.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or of any mod downloaded through it.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions or notices: reach out via the JetIslandMods GitHub org or the Jet Island Discord #modding channel.
